While your children here can caress geese, ducks, rabbits and sheep, or let off steam at the playground, you can enjoy your free time on the lawn or in the organic garden under the sun in South Tyrol. But also in winter time hiking trails, cross-country tracks and the nearby skiing area Latemar Obereggen offer a variety of nature experiences for you and your family.

Even Karl May was inspired here to his imaginative stories and enjoyed walking through the far branched network of hiking trails around Nova Ponente. Here, not only wonderful panoramic hiking paths, but also bike trails, as well as climbing and mountain biking tracks provide for unique panoramic vistas during your active South Tyrolean holidays. Not far from your holiday apartment you will also find attractive Nordic Walking trails and a variety of possibilities to participate in guided herb, flower, culture and pass excursions around Nova Ponente.

Skiing Holidays Obereggen Latemar – Thalerhof Val d’Ega

Just a few kilometres from your holiday farm Thalerhof, the varied Ski Center Latemar is located between Obereggen and Predazzo. Besides blue and red slopes, here you can also find a 6 km long black slope, a mogul slope and a slalom hill.

Hiking Holidays in the Dolomites – Val d’Ega

Around Nova Ponente South Tyrol, you can enjoy a variety of hiking and mountaineering trails and high altitude paths, which will take you through the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Dolomites. Right outside the front door of your apartment at the Farm Thalerhof you will find for example a connection to the hill country of Regglberg, well-known for its picturesque walking paths. There are also more demanding hiking tours leading from Ega to the Latemar peak, Joch Grimm or the Cattinaccio summit.

The panoramic mountain trail “Hirzlweg” takes you directly into King Laurin’s rock kingdom. Also the fixed rope route (via ferrata) at the Santner Pass, which from your apartment at the Farm Thalerhof is easy to reach, offers you a wonderful combination of climbing and hiking.
